What does Vector Database mean?
A vector database is specialised in storing and searching embeddings. Instead of matching exact keywords, it searches by semantic proximity and finds relevant results even when different terms were used.
In AI agents the vector database acts as the memory for company knowledge: documents, manuals and emails are stored as embeddings and searched in a fraction of a second on every request.
